Which one is Better?

Normally, there are few factors that limits your choices of nut butter unless you have an allergy or an intolerance, but there are a few things you need to look out for when purchasing butters. First of all you need to note whether it is cold-pressed, which preserves the nutrients, or if heat was used to process it, which means the nutrients have been cooked or burned out.

Almond butter tends to have less unhealthy additives in it while peanut butter being the more popular one, that has been around forever, tends to have more unwanted ingredients. One is not necessarily better than the other; although, almonds are slightly higher on the healthy food chain then peanuts.

Whichever one you decide to use be sure to avoid the brands with high concentrations of saturated fat, sugar and other unwanted additives. You want nut butter that have undergone low heat to no heat processing with little to no added ingredients.
