Certain fruits contain sorbital, which is an alcohol sugar, also known as glucitol that helps to loosen stools and promote more regular bowel movements.

Now, if you’re drinking juiced apples for health reasons be sure that you are drinking “raw” juiced apples.

The reasoning for this is: raw apples contain only natural sugars that are good for you, processed apples may contain artificial sugars and flavorings that can be a source of constipation, as artificial anything has a tendency to worsen symptoms of constipation.

Consumption of apple juice in moderation can be smoothing to the gut. So, if you’re drinking it for it’s health benefits – go raw!

We’re sure you’ve heard if before: An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away! Yep, there’s some truth in that and antioxidants play a big role. Antioxidants fight free radicals and dispose of them in a non harmful way.

It is important for everyone’s overall health to eat foods that have a high antioxidant content. All apples have an excellent antioxidant content, but Red Delicious is singled out for having the highest content over all other varieties!

¼ cup apple-juice

½ cup blueberry

1 banana, frozen

½ tsp lemon juice


Blend in your blender until smooth and enjoy!

Apple Apricot Smoothie

1 cup apple-juice

4 apricots

½ cup mango

½ cup blueberry

1 cup ice


Blend in your blender until smooth and enjoy!

Summertime Protein Smoothie

1 cup watermelon

½ cup blueberries

½ cup apple-juice

1 tsp lime juice

1 scoop protein powder

½ cup water or milk

½ cup ice


Blend in your blender until smooth and enjoy!

Apple Yogurt Smoothie

1 banana, frozen

¾ cup blueberries

½ cup yogurt, vanilla

½ apple-juice


Blend in your blender until smooth and enjoy!

Very Berry Good Smoothie

½ cup apple-juice

½ cup strawberries

¼ cup raspberries

¼ cup blueberries

¼ cup blackberries


Blend in your blender until smooth and enjoy! *If you freeze all of your berries it will give it a slushy-like consistency!
