Fevers/Colds – apricots also contain high amounts of vitamin C which is an antioxidant that is well known for its cold fighting properties. Vitamin C helps protect the body from colds by combating free radicals which are cancer causing substances.

Anemia – apricots contain high amounts of iron and consumption of apricots can help to increase the production of the hemoglobin in the body. Iron is essential in the support of red blood cells that are responsible for carrying oxygen to other cells.

Apricots are a wonderful fruit to consume, but you do need to know every side of the equation, no worries, that’s what you’re here for!

Fresh apricots contain small amounts of oxalates and to individuals who have a history of calcium oxalate containing kidney stones should not over-consume on this fruit.

Also, when dried, apricots contain sulfur compounds like sulfur dioxide which can cause reactions in people who have asthma.

1 apple – cored

1/3 cup strawberries

1 cup spinach

1 celery stick

1 banana

1 tbsp flax seed oil

¾ cup yogurt

¼ cup orange juice

½ banana

1 scoop protein powder

2 apricots

1 cup ice
