Coffee Smoothie Recipes

Looking for amazing coffee smoothie recipes? We can help with that! We're not HUGE coffee drinkers, but we do enjoy it some of the times, especially for social outings!

What’s so bad about Caffeine?

Well, on the bright side caffeine does: increase mental alertness, improve mood, short-term memory etc… but really, in the long run is it good for you? Caffeine does have its benefits up front, but in the long run excess caffeine is not a healthy habit.

Too much caffeine consumption may lead to:

  • Insomnia
  • Inhibits the absorption of iron and calcium
  • Reduces blood flow to the brain
  • Can also lead to migraines

So yes, right after drinking coffee your feeling great, this is because coffee gives you a temporary "lift", and who doesn’t want to be in a good mood! But the key is: don’t do this all the time. Your body needs to be able to produce its own energy from the food that you eat

Treats are fine and fun, but don’t make them a habit. Keep them a treat so that your body does not become dependent on something for its energy levels.

Want a Natural Substitute for Coffee?

Maca Powder! Yes, we're all looking for that "natural" substitute for coffee that tastes good! Granted, maca powder by itself is not the most palatable substance, but when mixed with a little coco or cacao powder it’s got a pretty good leg to stand on.

Coffee is not all Bad…

One of the big reasons health advocates tell you to give up coffee is because of the caffeine content. It's true, to much caffeine is not good; however, caffeine is one of the alkaloids naturally found in foods such as tea, seeds oils, some fruits etc…

And of course we would prefer you to get your caffeine from foods rather than in a purposely concentrated form. Why? Because natural is better and it’s easier for your body to absorb the nutrients.

But for when you do want coffee smoothie recipes, enjoy the ones below that we’ve put together for you.
