Low Calorie Smoothies! Oh Yeah!

Perk up your day with one of these low calorie smoothies! Yes, they are delicious! However, a lot of people tend to ask the question: how do you keep a smoothie low calorie, yet at the same time, keep it healthy too?

Excellent question…check it out below!

How to Make a Yummy Smoothie that is Low Calorie!

Check out some of our substitutes below:

Use Water instead of Cow’s Milk – it might sound plain, but no, it’s not! Your smoothie will be just as good - only fewer calories!

Use Natural Sugars instead of Refined Sugars – yes, it helps! Refined sugars are simply a source of empty calories. Not only does it upset the body’s mineral balance, but it leaves you feeling hungry – contributing to weight gain.

The difference between refined sugar and natural sugar is one has some nutritional value and the other has absolutely none. Even though natural sugars are better, still go easy on them. Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing.

Use Fresh Fruit instead of Packaged Fruit – fresh is always best! Not only is fresh fruit packed with nutrients the body needs, it does not come with all the unwanted artificial colorings/flavorings and preservatives that are not good for you.

If you are going to go Low Calorie, go for the Healthy Low Calories

What does that mean? Well, good question! It means if you are going for lower calorie foods; go for the lower calorie foods that have a good source of nutritional value.

Pass by the foods that are nutritionally dead, they may be low calorie, but if they are nutritionally dead, they are only a source of “empty calories” which only feels you feeling more hungry. Go for whole foods. They will leave your body feeling refreshed, and most people don’t have a problem with feeling hungry after.
