Simple Smoothie Recipes

Sometimes you just need simple smoothie recipes, because sometimes you don’t have time to make yourself a nice breakfast, but you do need something to hold you over till lunch.

Simple smoothie recipes are a wonderful option.

Why spend a fortune buying a breakfast drink that someone else made (probably with lots of unwanted sugar and calories) when you can make it yourself at home for…pennies?

Stay tuned this is Smoothie 101…..Enjoy!

I don’t have many ingredients; can I still make a smoothie?

Absolutely, it actually takes fewer ingredients then you think. Really, you can make a delicious smoothie with very few supplies.

For example, if all you have is a little bit of yogurt, an old banana, maybe a few berries – just throw them in the blender, add a little water, or if you have it, milk (you can also use almond milk). And this will make an excellent smoothie, ice is always a plus when you’re making a simple smoothie.

So, if you don’t have much in the refrigerator, no worries, creativity will kick in and pull you out of this one!

Use Overripe Fruits

Sometimes we don’t have time to run to the store to get groceries, but there always seems to be that banana or kiwi on the counter that we have forgotten about, and then when we notice it, it’s a little too soft to eat plain – and most of the time we throw it away. But don’t it fantastic smoothie material! Bananas that are just a little too ripe to eat out of hand are wonderful for smoothies.

Now, remember that is a distinction between fruit that’s a little mushy and fruit that’s rotten. We don’t recommend you eat rotten fruits – not a good idea, but before your fruit goes completely bad get your money out of it by using it in a smoothie.
