This sweet yummy berry can add a nice twist to a salad and maybe some pancakes. If you are making the same old recipe the same old way, and want to try something different add a couple of berries, a dab of this and a dab of that will switch it up for the better!
Below are some ways we like to use strawberries.
Strawberry Oatmeal Smoothie
1 cup milk - you can also use almond milk
1 frozen banana, broken into chunks
½ cup rolled oats
14 frozen strawberries
½ tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. honey (add more it needed)
Blend in your blender until smooth!
It’s a Super Thick Strawberry Smoothie
6 fairly large strawberries
½ cup strawberry or vanilla ice cream
½ cup of yogurt
½ cup milk- you can also use almond milk as a dairy substitute
Blend your milk and strawberries well, and then add the rest of your ingredients. Blend until smooth.
Basic Strawberry Smoothie
1 cup milk
½ of your favorite yogurt
Blend until smooth. Add ice if needed. The great thing about this smoothie is that you can change it up and make it your own!
Strawberry Banana Protein Smoothie
1 ¼ cups sliced fresh strawberries
10 whole almonds
2 tablespoons water
1 cup ice cubes
3 tablespoons protein powder
Place the banana, strawberries, almonds, and water into a blender. Blend to mix, then add the ice cubes and puree until smooth. Add the protein powder, and continue mixing until evenly incorporated, about 30 seconds.
Strawberry Orange Banana Smoothie
3/4 cup orange juice
1 cup fresh strawberries
1 ripe banana
Ice cubes – as needed
Blend the orange juice, strawberries, banana, and ice cubes in a blender until smooth and frothy.
